About Me

Where to begin.

I grew up as a fairly un-athletic kid, minus a two year stint on the modified volleyball team. Running the mile each year in gym was the rarest form of torture and I spent the entire semester dreading it. I went to college, drank a lot, graduated from college, still drank a lot. And then one day I decided to hop onto a treadmill at the gym.

From there, running began to slowly take over. Unhealthy habits gradually replaced by longer runs, tempos, intervals.

vegas-ing, not running

Well, not completely. Sometimes a girl’s gotta live a little.

But the more and more I continue to run, the happier and happier it makes me. And the more and more I want to talk about it, which has the opposite happy-effect on all my non-running friends (read: mostly everyone I know IRL). So … here’s this blog.

Still a huge doof, even without a gigantic Eiffel Tower shaped drink in my hand

I live in Upstate New York, which feels like the snow capital of the entire world. I will probably complain a lot about that for at least 6 months out of the year. I don’t take myself too seriously, I tend to have a potty mouth, and I am not always all sunshine and rainbows. If you can deal with those things, I think we can be the best of internet friends.
